Heligoland is the fifth studio album by the English electronic music duo Massive Attack, released on 8 February 2010 by Virgin Records (9 February in North America). Named after a German archipelago in the North Sea, the album marked the group‘s first studio album in seven years, following 2003‘s 100th Window . More significantly, it was the first album to feature Daddy G (Grant Marshall) since their seminal 1998 album Mezzanine , making Heligoland the first Massive Attack album recorded as a true duo.
Upon its release, "Heligoland" received generally positive reviews from critics. The album was praised for its innovative approach to the Massive Attack sound, with many noting the incorporation of dubstep as a bold and successful move.
