Safe verified ISOs usually have the UPDATE folder removed. This is a safety measure. The official UMD had a PSP firmware update (6.30). Modern CFW or emulators do not need this update, and trying to install it from a suspicious ISO could brick your device. A verified ISO for emulation will either have an empty UPDATE folder or no folder at all.
