In the context of audio software, (often referred to as "Team R2R") is arguably the most prolific and revered (or reviled, depending on your moral stance) software cracking group in the industry. Over the last decade, they have released keygens, loaders, and patches for virtually every major plugin developer, including Native Instruments, FabFilter, iZotope, and—most relevantly—Universal Audio.
While Team R2R historically had a reputation for clean releases (no malware), downloading R2R software from third-party torrent sites is extremely dangerous. Furthermore, R2R Tools (like System v1.2.0) modify system files and host files, which can compromise your DAW stability and security.
For years, the "R2R" search was largely futile because UAD’s hardware-locked system was notoriously difficult to bypass. However, Universal Audio eventually introduced and UAD Native (UADx) versions.
