This heat stress concentrated the sugars and flavors in the grapes, leading to small berries with intense color. Fortunately, cool nights at high altitudes (the Bekaa sits at 1,000 meters above sea level) preserved the natural acidity. For Villa Vevrier, this meant harvesting grapes that were simultaneously ripe and fresh—a winemaker’s dream.

The project breaks away from traditional suburban home construction. Instead of building a repetitive, box-like structure, the design uses a fragmented plan sheltered by a classic silhouette. It shows that secondary family homes do not need to look like mere outbuildings.
