The story begins with a prologue showing a shipwrecked couple who build a treehouse in the African jungle, only to be killed by a leopard. Their infant son is adopted by a grieving mother ape, who raises him as her own. Years later, (Rosa Caracciolo) and her friends are on an African expedition, searching for a fabled hidden tribe and stories of an "ape man". While exploring, Jane accidentally triggers a trap set by Tarzan (Rocco Siffredi) and falls unconscious.
